But this time, the children's author will use her appearance at Blue Heron Books in Uxbridge for something a lit- tle different. The recently transplanted Uxbridge resident will use the opportunity to meet neighbours in her new communi- ty. The author started out painting sets for high-fashion customers, and ended up illustrating children's books for such world-renowned authors as Robert Munsch, whose McGraw-illus- trated "Love You Forever" has sold over a million copies worldwide. Ms McGraw has just written and illustrated the children's book "Pussycats Everywhere." The book is a fanciful tale of how good deeds come back to you, as a young girl who starts out to find a lost pet ends up finding many. The colour- ful illustrations are eye-catching to young readers and the tale has mean- ing on several levels, making it a book children will read, and read again, as they grow. Moving to Uxbridge has been a pleasant experience for Sheila and her husband Lionel Koffler. "I have been pleasantly surprised at what a large art community there is here," Ms McGraw said from the living room of the couple's century farm house just outside the town of Uxbridge. - "I love it out here," Ms McGraw said. "I walk the dogs every day, and every day | see something new | had not noticed before." The author has also written six books on crafts, and is currently work- ing on an adult orientated novel. She said that she looks forward to meeting many local children and adults at her signing.
