She came to Canada in 1972, and has continued to let the sights and sounds of the passing seasons influence her designs. Her love of the natural world has found expression through her talented hands. Ms Soppelsa's studied jewelry making and design at in Zurich. She also spent three years in the south of France before coming to Canada and working both in the east and the west, from Montreal to Vancouver.
