--------------------------_------ -- mers eee mar SE GAD -- PORT PERRY "WEEKEND STAR" FRIDAY, JUNE 23 2000 - 21 It'll be held at Kedron Dells Golf Club "Take A Swing For Arthritis" charity golf tournament will be Aug. 18 On Friday, Aug. 18 The Arthritis Society will host the "2000 Take A Swing For Arthritis" Charity Golf Tournament and Dinner at Kedron Dells Golf Club. Proceeds from the event will support Juvenile Arthritis, Arthritis Research and Patient Care. The tournament is open to all golfers. The cost of entry is $99 per person before July 31, $119 after July 31. This includes 18 holes of golf as well as a banquét dinner to wrap up the event. The tournament will fea- ture several hole-in-one contests, generously spon- sored by Golf Mania for $25,000, Air Canada with a trip for two anywhere in North America including Hawaii, and a 2000 Buick Century. There will also be putting contests and a great prize table. The Arthritis Society is working hard to find a cure for this devastating dis- ease. One out of every seven people suffer with some form or arthritis. One in 1,000 children under the age of 16 are struck with Juvenile Arthritis every year. Entry deadline for the tournament is Aug. II. Please be aware that last year's tournament sold our very quickly. The tourna- ment will begin as a shot gun start at 9 a.m. sharp.
