Summer Adventures is four fun-filled weeks with lots of games, crafts, snacks and hands-on activities for children ages six to 12. If music is an interest of your children, consider signing them up' for the Fun With Music week. This program will allow your children to experiment with real instruments and learn how to work together to make music fun. The week ends with a special concert, where your children will proudly show what they leamed by playing for all of the parents. Small Wonders is a week filled with exploring the small things that live in the world around them. Bugs, spiders, Port Perry Y has lots going on this summer Summer is fact approaching and the YMCA is happy to be pro- viding many new and exciting programs. Games, songs, indoor and outdoor fun, sports and exciting theme days are part of every eventful day. Weekly sessions include creative arts and gymnastics, sports, bas- ketball, science action and outdoor discovery clubs. Swimming is available on selected days at the Sunshine Pool. For chil- dren three to five years there is the popular pre- school bug club, pre- school gymnastics club and adventure club. For participants 14 to 16 years a counselor in training program will be offered. All programs are held at R.H. Commish PS. and Cawker PS. in Port Perry. The museum consists of three heritage homes, Henry, Robinson and Guy, dating from 1835 to 1849 and depicting the life of early Port Oshawa. The fee is $50 for one week of half day programs. Summer Hours at Region's Waste Disposal sites DURHAM HE GION The Region of Durham's Waste Disposal Sites located at 1640 Ritson Rd. N. in Oshawa and 1623 Reach St., in Port Perry are regularly open Tuesday through Saturday, from 8:00am until 4:00pm. These two sites now offer extended summer hours.
