Get together with your friends and join the museum for The Starlight Gala, the evening of Saturday, June 24. Enjoy a catered meal of superb cui- sine, followed by entertainment with internationally renowned Tanglefoot. This five-piece band is making headlines throughout the world of folk and acoustic music, attracting large and enthusiastic numbers throughout Canada, the United States and Britain. A raffle of items donated by local peo- ple and businesses will also take place throughout the evening. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Scugog Shores Historical Museum, allowing the museum to continue provid- ing quality programs and exhibits to our community. Advance tickets only will be offered for sale. Individual tickets for the evening are $125 or a table of eight can be purchased for $800. The year 2000 promises to be full of fun, entertainment and educational activities for people of all ages. The summer season kicks off with the Victoria Day yard, book and plant sale on Monday, May 22. Gates open at 8 a.m. with great deals on plants, herbs, used books and many other quality items. If you have items you would like to donate to the sale please call. Bring your classic vehicle or just come out to see some of the finest cars in the province at the Cruisin' Classic Car Show on Sunday, June 11. This event is hosted by the museum and the Cruisin' Classic Car Club from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy a summer evening with dinner under the stars at our picturesque muse- um at The Starlight Gala evening on Saturday, June 24. The Good Old Fashioned Fun Day on Sunday, Aug. 13 will be a day for children and adults of all ages, with traditional games, activities, contests and fun at the museum.
