The costumes Bill and his wife Betty designed and constructed for "Camelot," "A Man for all Seasons" and various Arts Balls have led to the mak- ing of robes and hangings for various churches. The band continued its winning ways last week, earning a gold medal at the Atlantic Music Festival in Halifax. Band members flew east last Wednesday night, and spent Thursday adjusting to their new surroundings. On Friday, April 28, at 1:30 p.m. the students were on the main stage and ready to go. Half an hour later the band delivered "a sparkling performance," according to Dr. Donald Buell, a national level adjudicator. The students attended a short clinic where they were once again show- ered with praise by Dr. Donald Beull. "An extraordinary attention to detail," and "a first rate performance," were among Dr. Beull's comments. "He really liked us, and said we sounded like pro- fessionals," said band member Lindsey Evanoff. The adjudicator praised all sections of the 51-member band. "I'm very proud of our percussion section, we worked hard," said Dave Bauer. "It was a first rate adju- dication," added Randi Micklewright.
