When she joined the Federal Department of Manpower and Immigara- tion in.the mid 60s she was able to exercise her talent for helping people who needed help. She loved her work. Her dedi cation culminated in her appointment as Co-ordi- nator of Youth Programs for Ontario, located in the Ontario Regional Office, Toronto. Gwen was a driv- ing force on the Board of Directors of several volun- teer organizations, includ- ing Youth Employment Service (YES), Bridging the Gap and the Human- Animal Bond Association of Canada (HABAC). Her death leaves an empti- ness that shall never be filled in the heart and life of Elizabeth Dunn who benefitted from Gwen's enduring friendship and support over so many decades.
