Featured all month at the Port Perry Gallery is a multi-media exhibition of Nudes. The collection on display at the gallery will showcase exceptional work in each medium by various artists. Among those display- ing works is painter llya Gefter. Born in Russia, the 19- year- old is cur- rently studying in Baltimore, Maryland on a full scholarship. He has won numerous awards and his pieces can be found in public and pri- vate collections world- wide and now in Port Perry. On permanent display is the work of local carver Joe Lorincz. For those who have yet to experi- ence the sensual beauty of Joe's work in wood, January is the time to do so, Recreating what nature has created is Joe's inspiration, his work is meant to be touched and will touch in return. Sculpture by Gloria Hope and Wynn Walters of Uxbridge, photography by Christella Kyriakou and Darren Stehr and well know artist Wayne Rose will also be on dis- play at the gallery, locat- ed at 170 Queen St. Gallery hours are 11-5 Tuesday - Saturday, and 12-5 on Sunday.
