THE PORT PERRY STAR READERS' CHOICE AWARDS BROCK'S STORES Four stores, generations: and five Brock's is part of the community Four stores under one roof - Brock's Men's and Ladies' Wear, Brock's for Kids and Brock's on Foot -- are all you really need to outfit the entire family. The stores that are now being run by the fifth Brock generation received six awards recently in the Port Perry Star's Reader's Choice Survey. The awards captured were for Best Children's Wear Store, Best Department Store, Best Ladies' and Men's Wear Stores, Best Shoe Store, as well as the finest store to sell clothing for the entire family. "We're honoured to have been chosen and wish to thank the Port Perry Star and its readers. Thanks also to our patrons who have made us the success we are,"says co- manager Julie Brock. There are four main factors that have led to Brock's success today. First, over the years, the Brock stores have developed a loyal clientele. Offering the latest in fashions and footwear, Brock's also creates a unique shopping experience. Secondly, the friendly and dedicated staff is always willing to assist in finding the perfect gift or outfit. Thirdly, we attribute our success to the strong business environment we work with in Port Perry's downtown core, Julie says. "Brock's has always been an active partici- pant in the BIA (Business Improvement Area) and we feel that merchant commit- ment and participation has benefitted the town and our customers." And lastly, Brock's has always felt it is important to give back to the community and its customers by being co-sponsors of the Town Hall 1873 concert series, patrons of the Scugog Shores Museum and the annual Christmas drive for Operation Scugog, as well as sponsoring children's soccer and baseball teams and many other worthwhile causes. Today, the fifth generation continues to proudly serve the community. "We are proud 'of this achievement and hope to continue to serve the community for sever- al more generations", Julie says. This fall Brock's will be celebrating its 120th anniver- sary. Brock's recently expanded and now offers two new stores in Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon, where friendly, dedicated staff continue to serve its customers and their communities.
