The purpose of the Scugog Wellness Clinic is to increase health aware- ness in. the community, «= Various booths will be: sét-up where interactive "tests 'and games will be used to inform the public - of the latest in health awareness and preven- tion techniques. Some of the local busi- br nesses = participating - include: Wolf Run Golf Course, Sunshine : Pools, Dr. Cottrell's office, Port Perry Optical, Lakeridge 'Health © Department; Shoppers Drug Mart, 'Weight Watc¢hers and Reid's Independent. At these booths you'll be able to take part in interactive activities like | quick" teeth and eye exams, massages, mini- putting, determining your blood type, and talking one-on-one with fitness experts. ~The Wellness Clinic is being organized by the OAC ~~ Business Administration class at Port Perry High School. The students involved are Michelle Andrews, 18; Hayley Finn, 19; Veronica Savage, 18; Tricia Wray, 17; Alisha Mac¢Donald, 18; and Brian Harris, 18. Durham housing sales stay strong in April April sales of single family dwellings came in at 801, up 3.6 per cent from 773 sales in March and up 1.9 per cent from the 786 recorded in April of 2000, according to the Durham Region Real Estate Board. Average selling prices continued to increase slightly, with April's aver- age being $186,647 up .8 per cent from $185,110 in March of this year and also an increase of 3.2 per cent from $180,881 recorded in April 2000.
