PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, November 7, 2000 "Scugog Community Newspaper of Choice" - 23 | would very much like to thank all my family and friends for their love and support before, during and after the passing of my beloved hlisband, Stan, on October 30, 2000. Special appreciation to cherished friend, Cheryl Haines, who flew in from Nova Scotia to be with me during the saddest time of my life; to Beverley and Rive Fleming who came to help me over the week- end, for the second time in three weeks, and to Margot Hill, Joan Malcolm and Denise Kent who brought food for the lun- cheon and to all the others who offered. The gifts, flowers and cards were beautiful and charitable donations greatfully received and will be acknowledged shortly. My deepest gratitude to Nan Einarson, Stan's niece from Oshawa, who gave a moving eulogy reflecting great and humourous memories shared with Stan over the years. Rev- erend Michael Bishop offi- ciated at the Memorial Service November 4 and was at his usual best-- everyone who attended was impressed. Thanks to Dr. Gilmour and the nurs- es on duty at Lakeridge Health Port Perry in the wee hours of the moming who gave 100%, and their concem for me was heart- waming. Thanks, also, to Dr. Robert Allin who spent many a moment with Stan over the past 17 years trying to keep him in the best health possible, which wasn't an easy task. To Myles O'Riordan and his staff at Wagg Funeral Home, thanks again. Fran Binns, Caesarea We would like to thank Dr. Tuck, the nursing staff at Lakeridge Health Port Perry and Oshawa and Durham Access to Care for their care and compas- sion during Tom's illness.
