Vallerie Chapman made the evening intro- duction. Karen Diceman played the organ with great pre- cision. An instrument you can get many sounds of other instruments out of, example, piano, harp, vio- lin, flute and etc. Alex Elliot, read the lesson and Karen and Alex led us in prayers. A trio of young ladies, Marjory, Susan, and Jane sang some of the carols which Murray Parliament will speak tomorrow night at the Blackstock meeting were outstanding. The refreshments served after the service were astronomical. The next service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 5 and each Wednesday evening thereafter at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is always wel- come. Caesarea Hall Board This committee had the hall nicely decorated for the Christmas season which blended in nicely for the above service. The winners in last Thursday's euchre were - high score - women - Sandy Stephenson, men - Ron Stephenson, most lone hands - women - Muriel Selby, Irene Train, men - Ron Stephenson. N e x t euchre night will be Thursday, Dec. 23 at 8 p.m. There are still a few tickets left for the New Year's Eve social evening and dance held at our hall. Lots of prizes to be won. Sick List Two people on our sick list in our community this week are Alan Coy who had to fly back from Florida and Doris Nottingham. We sincerely with them both a speedy recovery. This month the cheese sales were great with most people expecting friends to drop in and one thing which makes the hors- doeuvre table complete is cheese and assorted crack- ers. Lake Scugog Historical Society I will be attending along with many more people the Victoria Christmas Carol Service at the Head Church tonight, Dec. 12. Always a great turnout for this service. Joke of the Week There was the summer guide on Parliament Hill guest at Lions' dinner meeting who was driven crazy with, "Where are the washrooms?" He told them, one block down the slope and under Queen Victoria's Monument. The chap replied, "Is that appropriate he winked?" "She's used to sitting on the throne." Thought for the Day The advantage of a bad memory is that one enjoys several times the same good things for the first time. § i i / i i XU \# Give them the gift JULES theyll love and you'll appreciate! * High Speed Internet on Cable * No phone lines * Always connected * No busy signals * 100 times faster than traditional dial up COME SEE FOR YOURSELF: Free Demo @ Scugog Memorial Library It's about time everyone had a well-made car i (5420) | More car. money. the math.
