Participants will trav- el the same route as last year. From the fairgrounds, the parade will travel south on Rosa St. to Queen St., then turn east to Simcoe St. From there, they go south to Mary St., and go east to Water St. before turning north and heading back to Queen St. The procession goes to John St., and then fol- lows Simcoe St. back to the fairgrounds and Santa's Village. "There'll be lots of games and crafts for the kids, and Santa will be around so the children can have their picture taken with him," said Mr. Northey, adding there will be grab bags for the kids -- courtesy of the Scugog Shores Museum - - as well as refreshments and vendors. More than 60 floats are expected to enter in the 1999 parade, he said, noting that there is still time to enter. As well, the Chamber will be holding a Christmas Draw to help offset the cost of the parade, which is expected to run about $8,000. The first prize winner will receive $1,000 cash, while second place will get a $250 gift certificate to spend at Cashway Lumber. Third place will receive a $100 gift certifi- cate to spend at Port Perry IGA, while the fourth-place winner will get the same amount to spend at Reid's Independent Grocer. Fifth prize is a pair of tickets to a Toronto Maple Leafs hockey game. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5. They can be picked up at the Chamber office; The Port Perry Star or any Chamber director.
