Tickets are $12.50 per person, available at Wanamaker's store, Wendy Brown 985-7813 or any park board member. Get your tickets A.S.A.P. Robinglade Women's Group are reminded that this month's meeting will be on Nov. 27 at Joyce Beauchamp's home. Members are reminded to take their own mug and $2 for the 50/50 draw. Seagrave Fellowship Sisters are reminded that their meet- ing is Friday, Nov. 26 at the Kinsmen Hall. (Yes, the Kinsmen Hall in Port Perry has been recently painted out- side). Sympathy is extended to the MacDonald family of Robinglade, Grant, Kate and their three children, Cameron, Rebecca and Matthew on the recent passing of Grant's father, Mr. Carl MacDonald of Scarborough. Sympathy from the commu- nity is also extended to Willis and Linda Mahood and family on the passing of Willis' mother Edna Mahood on Saturday evening Nov. 6 at her home on Puckrin Drive. Visiting is on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 Seagrave to 9 p.m. at Waggs Funeral Home in Port Perry. Her funeral is on Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. at the Pentecostal Church, Port Perry. Our thoughts and prayers are with Willis and his family who has lost his parents and sister within this past year. Speedy and full recovery is wished for Gary Sweetman who underwent surgery last Friday in Sunnybrook Health Centre and is now recuperating at home. Best wishes to all others in the community who are in need of our prayers for good health at this time. A big thank you to the com- mittee and all the workers and those who provided food or helped in any way for the annu- al turkey dinner last week. This is a great community effort which couldn't be suc- cessful without the help of many others from the area. Thanks to all those who braved the first snow fall of the season to attend the dinner. Plans are being made for the Dec. 3 P.A. Day Program to be held at the Seagrave Church. A study series begins at the Seagrave Church on Monday, Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. entitled "From Jesus to Christ." There will be videos from PBS and discussion on the origin of the Christian Church. Meeting dates are Nov. 15, 22, 29, Dec. 6, 13 and Jan. 10, 17 and 24. The U.C.W. will meet this Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 1:30 p.m. at the church. The Seagrave stewards will meet this Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. at the church. The Men's Group will meet this Saturday, Nov. 13 at 8:30 a.m. at the church. Sunday, Nov. 21 is Baptism Sunday and Sunday, Nov. 28 is Communion Sunday. A Remembrance Day Church Last week's snow means Christmas is on its way Service was celebrated on Sunday morning including a liturgy for Remembrance Day, placing of a wreath, a minute of silence, and the singing of O'Canada. The Rev. Carson spoke to the children about Remembrance Day. Wear a poppy and let us remember. Donna Wanamaker gave the Minute for Mission on building bridges. People share their experiences in several countries where our gifts help. The choir sang "O God of Heaven." Rev. Carson's sermon was "A Soldiers Faith" using the scripture from Joshua 24 vs 1-3 and 14-25. Next Sunday, Nov. 14 is Restorative Justice Sunday when the speaker will be Mrs. Carol Brown, executive director of Intercede Diversion Program. Scugog Island elders, stewards, U.C.W., Sunday School and youth representatives are encouraged to attend. There will be an important meeting for the Scugog Island congregation fol- lowing the service on Sunday, Nov. 28. This will be our first step in our search for a new minister. Remember the Sunday School's Christmas Concert on Dec. 4 By Doris Hill Greenbank News A beautiful Remembrance Day Service was held Sunday at the church service. It was led by veteran Neil Hunter and we also had beautiful solos by Heidi Howsam. Next Sunday, Nov. 14 is Restorative Justice Sunday. The speaker will be Mrs. Carol Brown, executive director of Intercede Diversion Program. Practice for the Greenbank Youth Choir will be Wednesday, Nov. 10 from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 is Baptism Sunday at Greenbank. Greenbank stewards will meet Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. Greenbank Sunday School Christmas Concert along with other guests, puppets, youth choir, sr. choir, Jubilation, solos and duets, will be held at the church on Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. Don't miss this fun family concert. Proceeds will be donated for the new playground equipment at the park. Greenbank Hall and Park Board will be holding their annual Christmas Dance at the hall on Saturday, Nov. 27. This is a main fundraiser for the hall. Please support us by purchasing tickets from Lila 985-3703 or Barb at 985- 3903. Tickets are $10 each. Phone early to make sure you don't miss this great evening. We have a fabulous buffet and great prizes. A good time was had at the hall on Friday evening for the monthly euchre with prizes going to Verna Smith, Jean Hunter, Anna Beaton and Muriel Tassie. For the gents, Ruth McDonald, Don Geer and Cliff Rodd. Lucky draws were won by Neil Hunter, Wanda Foster and Lorraine Geer. Next euchre will be Friday, Dec. 3. It will be the last game before Christmas, so it will be called the Christmas Euchre. Congratulations to Joe and Carol Timms who celebrated their 30th wed- ding anniversary on Nov. 8. Also happy 50th birthday to George Timms who celebrated on Nov. 9. Best wishes from all the family.
