The choir sang "Jesus, We Just Want To thank You," with Jackie Crawford singing "Thank You For Saving Me." Rev. Allison, playing his guitar, joined his two small sons singing a lively number, which was most enjoyed by all. The next 150th anniver- sary event will take place at Burns Church hall on Friday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. Spend an evening with Brian Winter - Whitby's archivist, as he shows slides and discusses the history of Ashburn and area. On Saturday, April 24 at 3 p.m. a beautiful wedding took place at Burns Church when David Oliver, son of Art and Phyllis Oliver, and {------ Ashburn area news by Florence Ashton Patricia Austin exchanged wed- ding vows, with Rev. Sheina Smith officiating. Special guest was David's grandmother Mrs. Viola Oliver, who resides at Sunnycrest Nursing Home. We extend our very best wishes to the happy couple for a long and happy wedded life. Those who attended the Brooklin Horticulture Society meeting last Wednesday night were in for a real treat with Conrad Richter from Richters Herbs as the guest speaker.
