During a court appearance yesterday, Constable Al Robins had his bail conditions. altered, allowing him to be in possession of firearms for training purposes while he awaits a court hearing on charges of assault causing bod- ily harm and aggravated assault. Two other officers, both from York Region, also appeared briefly in court. All were remand- ed to July 8 for an expected pre-trial hearing. York Constable Mike Hoskins faces charges of assault with a weapon and careless use of a firearm. His partner, Const. Randy Martin, faces one second-degree murder charge in relation to the shooting death of 44-year-old Tony Romagnuolo. All the officers have indicated they will enter not-guilty pleas. The charges relate to a Dec. 28 incident in which two Durham Officers accompanied two York Regional Officers to the Sunderland area home of Mr. Romagnuolo.
