4- PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, December 1, 1998 "Scugog's Community Newspaper of Choice" ¢ Kiddies line streets to 3 enjoy Santa's parade Saturday marked Port Perry's annual Santa Claus parade, which was graced by wonderful weather. Crowds lined the streets of town to see what this year's procession had to offer, and of course, to get a glimpse of Santa Claus himself. Here are a few scenes from the weekend"s fun: A. Local Beavers were up on a float without a paddle, but it didn't matter; they were too busy waving to the crowds, anyway. B. Little ones wave to the throngs from the Great Blue Heron Casino float on Queen St. C. A member of the procession from the Scugog Toy Lending Library -- decked out in antlers and a bright red nose -- cheerfully greets onlookers. D. Pipers throw long shadows as they march down Mary St. in the afternoon sunshine. E. Representatives of the Lions Club clown it up as | they ride among the folks [ad on Queen St. F. The Kinsmen had elves doing the cooking while Mrs. Claus was on strike. Here, Dave Goldberg makes a bit of a mess at the stove.
