Later that evening, around 9 p.m., it was found ditched in a swamp near a long driveway on Highway TA. The vehicle sustained considerable damage to the front end and right side, as well as to the rear window and steering column. The vehicle is estimated to be worth $7,000. a Police were also called to a Borelia Court address after a blue, two-door 1990 Pontiac SSE was stolen sometime overnight between Nov. 21 and 22. It was last seen around 8 p.m. on Nov. 21 parked in a driveway and was found in Oshawa later that same day. Q Durham cops also responded to a Scugog Island address after thieves attempted to steal a 1986 Chev Celebrity wagon. Sometime overnight Jewelry stolen Scugog Island resi- dents were shocked when they discovered a large amount of their jewelry stolen from their home recently. Police say a Platten Blvd, couple discovered items missing from a container that was locat- ed on a dresser in the master bedroom. The theft was discovered on Nov. 19. The last time the jewelry was used was the middle of October, say police. Among the missing items were a 14-carat gold blue angel engage- ment ring with one large and two small dia- monds; a family ring with a gold band, two rose-coloured stones, one diamond and one paradot; a gold ring with a heart-shaped ruby and diamonds; a mans' gold ring with purple stone; and a mans' ring and chain.
