28- PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, June 2, 1998 "Scugog's Community Newspaper of Choice" SPORTS 3 4 Redmen hand Chiefs an 18-7 loss In the third game of the 1998 season, the Brooklin Redmen's offence exploded with scoring from 12 dif- ferent shooters as they defeated the Six Nations Chiefs 18-7 on May 27. With the win, Brooklin moves to 2-1 on the season, while Six Nations drops to 0-3. Brooklin jumped out to a 9-2 lead after the first period and never looked back as they extended their lead to 13-7 after two peri- ods. Rob Blasdell started in goal for Brooklin, and shared the duties with rookie Mike Wye who came in to start the third period. Ken Sandy started in goal for the Chiefs, but was replaced by Derek Genearl after the sixth Brooklin goal at 13:27 of the first period., Gary Rosyski (one goal, five assists) and Chris Panos (two goals, four assists) led the way for the Redmen. Shawn Williams, Peter Parke, John Fusco and Cam Woods also chipped in with five points each.
