"A Family Tradition for 132 Years" p PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, May 26, 1998 - 27 Don't forget the Ratepayers' Yard Sale this Saturday' Albert Puts The big news this week is this Saturday Caesarea Ratepayers Yard Sale at 20 Putsey Drive. Once in the past we tried to have it in the park but at the end of the day we were too tired to dispose of the leftovers and planned to take care of it the next day. Consequently we had scav- engers raid the area and leave us with a lot of broken glass and a much bigger mess to clean up. Also we have a two car garage full of donated items and more are coming. Now the most important item is volunteers for Friday night and Saturday. If we had four groups spending three hours each it would be great. Surely you have noticed the great improvements as you enter our town from the south. There have been the $402.50 spent for new trees on the west side of the road plus the labor of planting some. The enlargement of grass cut- ting on the east side. By this weekend we will be cutting on the west side. Your thanks goes to Jeff Abraham, Lorne Shaw, Roy Pollard and members of the "Make Scugog Beautiful Club" for these improvements. Come on out and be part of your community. For your three hours period call Eileen at 986-0181.
