Caswell A large group of seniors attended our meeting and pot luck, the final meeting until September. The greeters were Doro- thy Butson and Grace Bassant with the Red- monds on registration. Edna Beckett was the ac- companiest for the singing of our National Anthem and the Grace before meals. President Clara ~ Warren extended a warm welcome to the visitors joining us and then we were treated to a fine sup- per supplied by the ladies of our club and served by the kitchen staff. For some years now, Edna Beckett has led the choir and is now retiring from that job. In recogni- tion of her service and ded- ication, a song of praise was composed by Carol Edgar and sung by the seniors choir. Edna and John were applauded by the seniors and presented with flowers and gifts as a token of the seniors appre- ciation. We trust they will continue to be active mem- bers of our club. We were treated to some fine entertainment by a group of young people from Cresswell. Piano so- los by Nancy Allison and Philip Snelgrove and a voice solo by Sarah Geiss- berger were enjoyed by all. Leslie Clark, Jeff Van Kessel and Karen Francis were joined in song by the three soloists and enter- tained us with their fine voices. Our thanks to the performers and Donna Geissberger for her assis- tance. Marion Lee, i a member of the seniors, received an award from the communi- ty in recognition of her many years of volunteer service in this area. Halliday. An instruc- tion session is held at the Latcham Centre on Mon- days at9a.m. worked with for the past 16 years.
