Councillors were told by planner Jim Dyment that they cannot pass a rezoning bylaw for the property until concerns registered by the Ministry of Environment are addressed. Mr. Dyment advised council to defer their recommendation until all the agencies involved had been heard from. Until those issues are resolved the region cannot deal with the official plan, Mr. Dyment told the planing com- mittee. Above, h Sketch of gunman released By Jeff Mitchell Port Perry Star Durham Regional Police have released a composite sketch of a man wanted for the shooting of a Scugog Island man last month. Friday morning investigators probing the Oct. 27 shooting of 27-year-old Mike McCourt released a sketch of a young black man who is wanted on a charge of attempted murder. Police are hopeful the sketch will bring forth new information in the case, said Det. Tom Whiteway. "We're fairly confident it's as accurate as possible," he said of the drawing. The man, who is one of the suspects in the shooting, is black, in his mid-20's, standing five foot six or eight, with a slim build. The sketch shows him with close-cropped hair and a slight five o'clock shadow.
