High protein food items such as peanut butter, ce- real products, tuna, salmon, beans, apple juice, kraft dinner, stews, soups and meats are always in high de- mand. Operation Scugog provides donations of food on a regular basis to families and individuals in Scugog Township who are having a hard time making ends meet. Donation boxes are located at the Port Perry IGA and Valu-Mart for regular weekly donations. This year's food drive will once again be held at the local fire halls. Donations can be dropped off on Thursday, October 5 and Friday, October 6 from 1-6 p.m. and on Saturday, October 7 from 9 a.m.-4p.m. at either Hall 1 on Crandell Street in Port Perry or Hall 21n Caesarea.
