Again this season, interest in Prince Philips Games has grown to the point that the region has organized separate meets for teams in the eastern and west- ern halves. The Western Division meet will feature teams from the Simcoe, Te- miskaming, Toronto and North York, Tynedale and Uxbridge-Scugog branch- es, while the Baltimore Hills, Durham, Napanee, Prince Edward County and Victoria branches will send teams to the Eastern Division meet. The Prince Philip Cup Games are a team competition played by Pony Clubs around the world. The games are played by teams of five riders and five points, four of whom participate in each game. All of the games are variations on the relay race, and all are great fun for players and spectators alike. There are three official levels of competition: C for beginners, B for more experienced riders, and A for the top players. Points accumulate through the sea- son, with the Eastern and Western Divi- sions meeting at the Regional Champi- onships on Aug. 7, and Regional A and B champions going on to play for the East- ern Canadian Championship at the C.N.E. Individual A level competitors have a chance to try out for the 1995 Ca- nadian team, and compete against other countries to be World Champions.
