No Union This week I watched two tradesmen building an object with great precision and speed. They didn't stop for a morning or afternoon coffee break and lunch was taken without a pause. I know they didn't receive anything extra for working on Saturday and Sunday. I'd say they broke every regulation in the Dept. of Labour's hand book. I will say they worked in a very safe manner. The one I Suggestions? Just drop them in the 'gold box' "watched, and it reminded me of the days I mixed mortar for a stone mason building a stone wall. He would go so fag i: then find a real colorful rock, split it and place it, then stand back and look at his progress, sometimes he's take his last two stones down and then place this colorful one and then resume on. He wanted the colors to blend in. This character I was watch- ing was working with a piece of a shoe box and three times he got down, shaped it and then got up and tried it, and ~ then finally left it on the ground. You see I was watch- ing two robins build a nest. Peter Gallager I regret to report that Peter Gallager, the father of Betty West, formerly of John Street, Caesarea passed away on Saturday, April 22 at Port Perry's Community Hospital. Joke of the Week A man walked into a credit office to pay the final install- ment on a baby's crib. "Thank you" the manager said. And how is the baby today. "Oh" the man replied. "I'm fine." Saying of the week on Imagination. First comes thoughts; then organization of the thoughts into ideas and plans: The be- ginning: as you will observe, . 18 your imagination. Nepolean Hill.
