Congratulations to two Seagrave girls Katherine Cooke and Kelly Sadler who along with their teammates on the Port Perry "B" ringette team "Shepstone Haulage," won the Regionals this past weekend in Whitby. This team has had an ex- ceptionally successful year winning gold in Port Perry, gold in Kingston, gold in Barrie, winning the league championship game and now the'gold at the regional level. Way to go girls! Robinglade Estates Women's Group, thereis a. change in the April*meet- ing. The meeting is now April 12 not the 5th and the meeting will be held at Debbie Slute's home. Attention parents: in September there will be a Sparks Group, ages 5-6, Brownies, ages 7-8 and Guides ages 9,10 and 11in Seagrave. On Saturday, May 13 these groups will be having a yard/bake sale to help offset operating costs. Anyone having a daughter wishing to join one of these groups or arti- cles they wish to donate call Sandra Wickens 985- 0455. Believe it or not the May long weekend is not too far away. That is usu- ally the weekend we have the Robinglade yard sale. This year it has been de- cided to collect your "loo- nie" ahead of time for ad- vertising, etc. If you are going to participate in this neighborhood yard sale, please call Tracey Evans at 985-9083 so we can have an idea of how many homes will participate. In the past couple of years there has been great re- sponse and lots of people coming out to look around. Sympathy of the com- munity is expressed to Gertrude anamaker and family in the passing on Monday, March 27 of her brother Alan Martyn. Seagrave Church News The MacDonald chil- dren extinguished the fifth lenten candle on Sun- day. The Sunday School theme given by George Hill was "Extravagant Love - What Does It Mean to Respond to God's Love?" This was also the title of Reverend Shep- herd's sermon. The male choir sang "The Old Rugged Cross." Donna Wanamaker gave a minute for mission "It Doesn't Add Up." | Reverend David Shep- herd conducted the church service and sacra- ment on Sunday after- noon at the nursing home and the villa in Port Perry. Jessie Nobbs and Fred Puckrin played four hymns on the harmonica accompanied by Fern To- bin at the piano. The Good Friday ser- vice, April 14 at 8 will be at Pinedale Church.
