Cawker did extremely well at a cross country meet. Mike Hamilton and Tim Cruikshank placed first, while Rebecca Cruikshank and Kennan Geer were second. The Port Perry Snowmobile Club held its annual Sno Show and Sale at the clubhouse. The Midget 1 Panthers lost in their consolation championship bid of their home tournament. The Port Perry High School Athletic Association held a craft show and sale to raise funds for the association. Ashley Faux, Ashlea Jones, Marc Desmarais and Lindsay Wilson, of the Port Perry Figure Skating Club won medals at Skate Cobourg '94. The rink of Dean Haugen, skip, Kelly Evans, vice, John Butler, second and Karen Parish, lead, won the B trophy at the Unitel mixed zone playdowns. The curling season got underway with the Mother Jackson's Open Bonspiel. The intermediate girls volleyball team from § A. Cawker were runners-up in the Durham Central volley- ball Championships, while the Intermediate boys team claimed the championship. Swamp Garage won the Cannington Broomball tournament.
