"A Family Tradition for 128 Years" Scugog passes bylaw on Old Simcoe parking _ Scugog Township council has passed a bylaw addressing what 1s seen as a dangerous parking situation in Prince Albert. Vehicles will no longer be allowed to park on Old Simcoe Rd. during the daytime, according the the bylaw, which was passed during a council meeting Monday (Nov. 21). Councillor Marilyn Pearce (Ward 2) pushed for the bylaw a couple of weeks ago, citing concerns about commercial vehicles parking along the sides of Old Simcoe and impeding traffic in the area of Prince Albert Public School. She also asked that Durham Regional Police be informed of problems with speeding in the area. Monday the council adopted the bylaw, which prohibits parking on the street in the vicinity of the school between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily. Scugog Mayor Howard Hall told councillors that police have been asked to set up radar stations to halt speeders, and have done so.
