Dosis Nottingham and Kay Walker were made life members. On Oct. 21, a special meeting was held for the Installation of the Officers for 1994/95. A very large crowd saw Dolores and Pe- ter Miles Installed as Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron. A good year is wished for them and their officers. Many Grand Of- cers participated. On Nov. 10, the new officers began their new year in Blue Ray. Anew member was welcomed in the chapter. Lynda Clem- ents gave a lengthy report of her visit to the Grand Chapter of Puerto Rico where she attended as Grand Representative to Puerto Rico in Ontario. Crime Stoppers Robbery victim ambushed at bank Crime Stoppers and the Dur- ham Regional Police are asking for the public's help in solving a robbery which occurred in Oshawa on Tuesday, Sept. 6. At about 1:50 p.m. the victim, who is an employee of Rogers Cable T.V. Limited, was mak- ing a deposit at the Toronto Do- minion Bank at 601 King Street East. The victim arrived at the bank by car and parked out front. After getting out of her vehicle and locking it she walked across the parking lot and entered the first set of dou- ble doors of the bank. The victim chased after the suspect down the alley and then eastbound behind two adjacent plazas. The suspect was last seen get- ting into a parked van near the Flying Squirrel Restaurant. The vehicle then drove east- bound on King Street. The suspect is described as male, white, 35-40 years old, ap- prox. 5'9" tall, medium build, wearing a green shirt or sweat- shirt, dark pants, and white running shoes. The getaway vehicle is de- scribed as a red older model full size GMC van. A re-enactment of this crime will be shown on CITY TV, Channel 57, Cable 7, on Thurs- day, Nov. 24 during the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. news. It will also be shown on CKVR TV in Barrie and CHEX TV in Peterborough on Friday, Nov. 25 again during the news. Dan and Florence Shisko, who run a vegetable farm and store on the outskirts of Whitby, will discuss 'Experiences with Organic Market Gardening.'
