Ann Sandiford is doing next week's column - call her at 985- 9440. 905-985-0574 Sincerely, Ken Gadsden my Police seek truck after boy, 6, is hit Durham Regional Police are seeking the public's assis- tance in locating a truck that's believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run accident that left a child in hospital with serious injuries last Thursday. Police said a six-year-old boy was crossing the street at the 'intersection of Stoneridge Lane and Eyer Dr. in Pickering with his mother around 8:40 Thursday morning (Nov. 10) when he was struck by a pick- up truck. The truck, black with a white cap, sped away from the scene, said police. The child was taken to Ajax-Pickering Hospital with serious head injuries, and was transferred to Sick Childrens' Hospital in Toronto later in the day. Police are now looking for information that will help lead them to the vehicle involved in the accident. It's not known if the vehicle sus- tained any damage in the accident, police said.
