Blackstock 4-H by Sarah Stapley On Nov. 2, the Blackstock 4- H Club joined with the Nestle- ton 4-H Club as well as a few parents, at the Nestleton Com- munity Centre. This week we had a special guest, Gini Masterson, who came and taught us folk art painting. The wood was already cut out and put together, ready to paint before we got there, so we were ready to start when we arrived. Someone should award Mrs. Masterson the most patient citi- zen award because we've never seen anyone with so much pa- tience for that many people in our lives. There were also sever- al moms who volunteered to help us paint, a special thanks to them also. A fine congregation attended the anniversary service of the Blackstock United Church on Sunday morning. Special music was given by both the senior and junior choirs. Reader for the service was Dale VanCamp. Guest speaker was Rev. Doreen VanCamp who delivered an ex- cellent sermon "Living the Vi- sion". A social time was enjoyed after service with a bountiful - lunch. On Tuesday afternoon, a group of ladies enjoyed an after- noon of curling. There will be curling again the first Tuesday of December.
