At 2:40 a.m. the Durham Re- gional Police were dispatched to Lick's Restaurant, 1163 King- ston Road for an alarm call. Upon arrival the officers found the rear door on the south side of the business ajar. Found in- side were two crowbars that were used to pry open the door. Once inside the suspects smashed an office door window to gain access to the company's safe. The safe was opened and a quantity of cash, gift certifi- cates, and coupons were stolen. Drops of blood were found at the scene indicating that one of the suspects had injured them- selves. Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects re- sponsible for this break enter and theft is asked to call Crime Stoppers. The Police Service needs the public to become in- volved in crime prevention and by phoning Crime Stoppers you can assist. As a caller you won't be asked to identify yourself or have to go to court.
