There was a good attendance at morning worship on Sunday. Special guest was Miss Mignon Mayneord from Peterborough, who is a concert whistler. John and Betty Cincurah re- turned home recently from a lovely trip to B.C. flying to Cal- gary, then travelling by train for the rest of the trip. Burns Church Bazaar will take place on Saturday, Nov. 12, commencing at 10 a.m. Sounds like a fun and interest- ing day. Several tables will be set up which includes a craft ta- at Burns Nov. 12 ble, country store, children's clothes, homemade preserves, book table, bake table and lots more. Refreshments will be pro- vided. There are other bazaars on that same date, so it will be fun to go from one to the other, as well as get a head start for your Christmas shopping. Plan to join with us at Burns on Sunday evening Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. when the "Decision" quartet will be in concert, as well as Ken and Elaine Heron from Bracebridge. For those of you who enjoy gospel music, we would be happy to have you join with us. Refreshments and a free will offering. There was a great turnout for the Beef Dinner Sunday night at the Prince Albert United Church. I hope everyone ate their fill. It's a social time for those serving, too. Many thanks to Paul and John Brough for do- ing such a great job of pouring tea and coffee. Diane has done an excellent job of training them. Richard and Kyle weren't there. Maybe they aren't ready for their public debut. There is always next year. It was well organized by Lin- da McMillian and Beth Pere- man and their committee. Keep up the good work ladies. Terry Hodgson will be on his own for a while. Let's all gang together to make sure that he doesn't get too lonely. Eileen is off to Australia to visit daughter Heather and her family. Curling starts this week. When you step onto the ice with your team give a thought to all those hard working souls who have spent many long hours making up the teams. Every Wednes- day morning, (held in the Seagrave Church recreation room), there is a mother and tot kindergarten readiness program. More children of our community are always welcome. Watch column for more details in the weeks to come. A farewell pot luck dinner for Lee and Carol Sturman will be held on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 5 p.m. at the Seagrave Church. The ladies are asked to take a main course or des- sert. Church News: Rev. David Shepherd chose for his ser- mon on Sunday "Lord, I want to be in that number". The choir sang "All night, All day, Angels watching over me". Margaret Ingram gave the minute for mission. She ex- plained how the M&S funds support many ministries in the Bay of Quinte Confer- ence. Some examples are a few rural churches, new churches, native church, chaplaincies in Oshawa Gen- eral Hospital, the Oshawa Community Ministry Cen- tre, Durham Community Be- reavement Centre and Min- istry with the Deaf. During the prayers of the people, several came forward to name a person who has been important in their life. Next Sunday (Nov. 6), there will be no service at Seagrave when Greenbank Church is holding their anni- versary service at 11 a.m. The speaker will be Rev.
