A lovely lunch was served by host- ess Ina at the close. Happy Event On Oct. 19, in Community Memorial Hospital, Terry Ste- venson and Deborah Short Ste- venson of Morris Lane, Scugog Point, were delighted to have an 8 1b. 2 0z. baby boy born to them. David Shearman conducted the service and opened with the Call to Worship and hymn "Dear Lord, Whose Loving Eyes Can See" followed by confession with all taking part. The children's theme was in- teresting and Rev. David kept the small fry on their toes! The minister's message for the congregation was impres- sive with "food for thought". After a beautiful old hymn "My Faith Looks Up To Thee" (1808-1887), Benediction and singing "Go Now In Peace" followed by Amen! The sermon was on the heal- ing and restoring of sight to blind Bartimaeous - Mark 10 - Verses 46 to 52, in response to his cry "Jesus Have Mercy On Me". Next Sunday, Rev.
