Nl POPS NNSA A AAS SEL 2720 SH L7 ZAR Lung Assoc. meet today at hospital This October, the Lung Asso- ciation recommended its very successful Asthma Out-Reach Program for asthmatics living in Ajax, Bowmanville, Oshawa and Port Perry. The Port Perry program is at 6:30 p.m. today at Community Memorial Hospital. This free program (funded by a grant from Glaxo Canada Inc.) aims to reduce hospital ad- missions and improve the quali- ty of life for asthmatics of all ages by taking current informa- tion out into each community. Early detection and proper treatment are major factors in determining the outcome of Asthma. Through education, and by encouraging compliance with prescribed medical thera- pies, the Asthma Out-Reach promotes a more normal life- style for asthma sufferers. Asthma Out-Reach Sessions operate on a rotating cycle, two evenings a week at various cen- tres. Each evening, Respiratory Therapists will review different aspects of asthma and its treat- ment. Hands on assistance will be given in the use of inhalers, peak flow meters and other breathing devices. WTI 7: \J \ ACRES OF FOOD. DIRTCHEAP Here's a deal that'll grow on you in no time.
