Families in the News Norm and Bernice Mairs of Fleetwood Trailer Park, Jan- etville, were in Stouffville at- tending the flea market on Saturday, then later they visited with Norm's cousin at Goodwood - Les and Mary Mitchell, and enjoyed lunch with them before returning home. Very pleased Norm is back to his old self once again, feeling fine. Effa Stainton, Williams Markham Hospital after a hyp replacement, and feeling some better. She is still using awalker. Bruce and Elaine Fish, Lisa and Laura, from Regi- na, Sask. called in to see Neta Fish of Edgerton Road, on Friday evening. A good visit was enjoyed over re- freshments before they left for home. The many friends, neigh- bors and relatives of Mrs. Winnifred Davison visited at her home on Sunday after- noon, on the occasion of her 80th birthday. Phone mes- sages, cards, gifts and spe- cial 80th birthday cake all added to the festivities. The party was hosted by her fam- ily, who enjoyed seeing some of their acquaintances of for- mer years. It is not their intention to make money or to draw away from William's Point Regatta or the Rowan Beach Association activities but to give Caesarea proper a last fling at summer with some form of get together. The program is as follows: Registration 1 p.m. for: horse- shoe competition, open, $2 per head; volleyball, open (form your own team) $1 per head. That evening, they plan on a baseball game starting at 7 and finishing at dark, followed by a free corn roast. Visitors, and a trip to the Dome This coming Sunday, church service will be held in Utica at 9:30 a.m. The congregation is invited to participate in the sac- rament of baptism following the church service when Lucas Christeyan, son of Suzanne and John Warner, will be baptized in the Warner family pool across the road from the church. Everyone is invited also to join the family for refreshments and a light lunch. The church bulle- tin states that bathing suits are optional. I don't know. I think you should have one if going swimming. A reminder of the Jack and Jill party in Utica Hall this Fri- day, starting at 8 p.m. for Brian Kerry and Patricia Elson. Friends, neighbors and family are welcome. Recent visitors with Mrs. Crosier were her daughter Jean Scott of London who stayed for several days and Bruce and Jean Beare of Scarborough. Don and Stella Asling were treated to a ball game at the Dome recently by their son Jer- 'ry and his'wife Joan. The follow- ing day they went to Hanover and Joan took them on a bus' tour of the Bruce Nuclear Power Station and they also visited the docks at Port Elgin. On Thursday, Don and Stella visit- ed Jean Jeffery at the Mark- ham-Stouffville Hospital where she is recovering from an appar- ent stroke. : Pete and Georgina Sutcliffe spent a few days this past week camping in the North Bay and mmins areas. | A good crowd enjoyed our outdoor service on Sunday morning, but we moved our logation to a sheltered spot. e enjoyed our hymns being accompanied by Carol Edgar and Doug Barber.
