Scott Pardington and ory Taillon both scored hat tricks. Oliver Mutton, Joshua Vaughan and Shayne Taylor scored one apiece. Benjamin Mutton, Shayne Taylor, Scott Pardington and Joshua Vau- ghan assisted in the goals. Ally- sia Boomhour picked up the shut out. In their second match up against Framer's Gallery the Chicks lent a goalie to the Framer's so that the game could goon. The exciting match ended in a2-2draw. J & D Carpentry played their game against Manvers, and got production from Devin Colston and Lukas Andrews with a point each. Ryan Harrison also putin a superb offensive effort. Under Seven Results Port Perry Lions Club de- faulted to Brian's Towing, but played a fun 20 minute game with the players on hand. Jordan Stainton played his best game yet with key shots at the goal. Kirk Stevens demon- strated good foot work and Cas- sandra Aked played with heart. Britini Smith notched two points and Russell Tracey had one. Honorable mention goes to Fertina Wainsborough and Ka- tie Munden for the Lions. The Komputer Klinic kids must have eaten their "Wheat- ies" for as they came out flying against Scugog Lumber. Jeff Rankin led the way with six goals. Jonathan Hamelinck chipped in with four, and Kyle Jones scored a beauty. Cathy Churchill and Travis McAllis- ter had strong defensive games. Kyle Paige kicked one in for the lumbermen. Under Nine Results In an evenly matched contest Willowtree Farms tied 4-4 with Cottrell's Cuspids. Playing a man short, D.J. Bois scored a hat trick for Willowtree, aided 'by Damen Tapper who scored the other. Goalscorers for Cot- tiell's were Trevor Chandler, Kyle Geer, Danny Halward and Matthew. Adam Farnley had some good forward runs also. Antrim House just edged out Joe's Pizzeria by a 1-0 score. De- spite the loss the coaching staff credits all players for strong teamwork. Leo Taillon was eat in goal. Kourtney Agnel, uke Doupe-Smith, Kendall McAllister and Jillian Vaughan showed major improvement in their defensive teamwork. An- trim House's goal was scored on a penalty kick by Jeff Tomche- ski. Reach Park Motors handled Tim's Renovations, with a 9-3 win. Richard Travey led the way with a hat trick and Grant Ranieri added two. Brent Wagg, Matthew Charron, Matthew Hertzberg and Erin Geary each contributed one point. Ryan O'Leary kept things interesting with a hat trick for Tim's. Man- vers devastated Raglan Indus- tries thanks to Brandon Spear- ing, who scored seven goals. Zachary Plowright notched two and Derek Shasta added one. Although Raglan never really got it together, James Donald- son played with heart and ener- gy for his best game of the sea- son. The strong Air Durham team defeated Burketon by a 5-1 mar- gin. Scott Lennox had his first hat trick and Brook MacKenzie got his first goal of the season. Tyler Cunningham and Derek Goreski added one. Kenny Britt had an awesome game. Mat- thew Morison put Burketon on the Board. Under 11 Results Tuesday night witnessed a close contest between Water- front Cafe and Burketon, with Waterfront emerging victori- ous. Leading the way for the Cafe was Danny Halward with two, followed by David Halward and Peter Konstantinopolous adding one each. Katrina Lea- hy, Rebecca Cruickshank and Spencer Churchill all contribut- ed a strong effort and good play- making skills. Chance Morison potted one for Burketon. Good fortune and strong play has kept Green Apple Cabinets un- defeated so far, and that trend continued against Darlene Col- ton Photography with a 3-0 win. Goals were scored by Michael Sytsma, Lori Powell and Justin Moffat. Ryan Kelly played goal in the first half then assisted from left wing in the second half. Erika Wood and Glen Thompson also made beautiful passing plays to assist the goals. Daniel Foster just back from vacation brought big full field kicks with him. Greg Jef- frey played an excellent second halfin goal to preserve the shut- out. Haugen's Heroes had a strong offensive game to defeat Willowtree Farms by a 10-1 margin. Trevor eisflock scored five, Matthew Kammin- ga scored four, and Laura Batterink added one. Strong de- fense by Hailey Wilson and Brandon Davis held Willowtree Farms to only one goal, by Stormy Wooten. Scott Symes was terrificin net to stop all oth- ers who got through. Legal Eagles trounced I.G.A. with a 6-0 win. The shutout for the Eagles was shared by goal- keepers Billy Britt and James Stevenson. Goals were scored by Wes Langmaid (2), Evan Ashton (2), Kevin Robins and Richard Brazier. Strong posi- cer fields tional play paid off for the Ea- les. arta VanCamp and indsay Carr were notable for their determined and effective efforts. Under 18 Results In a match up of Port Perry teams, VanCamp came out on top against I.G.A. Scott Bron- son tallied two, assisted by Beau Jolicouer. Dean Van- Camp scored from centre field with an amazing kick. Matt Til- lart added one more. Darren . Hamelinck scored for I.G.A. as- sisted by Aaron Chambers in a well controlled play. Despite the loss, I.G.A.'s goal keeper Matt Robertson played very well. Taylor Ford Mites split pair Taylor Ford Mites played their best game of the season, but came up on the short end of ~ a'7-6 game with Willowdale. De- fence was a major factor in this game with B.J. Schaump allow- ing only nine hits and three walks. Stuart Cochrane had two double plays. Justin Shinn made excellent catches in foul territory from his first base po- sition. The Port boys also had a nine- hit attack with Jon Breen get- ting two, Stuart Cochrane three, Justin Shinn two, Luke Pilkey one and Kellen Jackson one. The Willowdale centre fielder made a great catch off B.J. Schaump's bat for the last out of the game, robbing him of ahome run. At the next game, on July 16, the Taylor Ford boys' defence and pitching went on holidays. As a result, Willowdale walked off with a 25-2 win. Port got only three hits from Jon Breen, Stu- art Cochrane and Tyler Lee. July 9 the Taylor Ford Mites travelled to Picton for a tourna- ment. The first game saw Port play the defending Ontario "C" Champs from Napanee. Al- though playing very well, the team lost 8-1. Port played great on defence again but had only one hit in the game. It was only 2-0 after four innings but Na- panee came alive in the last two Innings. The second game saw Port play Belleville which has a very strong team. Belleville handed the Taylor Ford boys their sec- ond defeat of the day. Port got four hits, one each from Darryl Copithorn, Justin Shinn, B.J. Schaump and Caleb Atkins. Fi- nal score 23-2. Game three saw Port play Kingston, a match which start- ed off fast with both teams scor- ing in the first inning. The Tay- lor Ford boys answered Kingston's two runs with three of their own, thanks to a two- run home run from B.J. Schaump and good base run- ning from Stuart Cochrane. Un- fortunately, Port could not hold the lead or get much more of- fence, leading to a 16-4 defeat. Getting only three hits for Port were B.J. Schaump with two and Jon Breen with one. Because of holidays, the Tay- lor boys had only 10 players for the weekend. Special thanks to Justin Koury for subbing in for the day. Taylor Ford Mites Split Doubleheader with Bramalea On Sunday afternoon, July 17, Bramalea came out to Port Perry for a doubleheader. The first game saw Bramalea jump out to a large lead and go on to an easy 17-3 win. This game did have some excellent defensive plays from Justin Shinn at shortstop, Terry Daly at third and Caleb Atkins pitching. aleb Atkins pitched a strong three innings after replacing an in- Jured Stuart Cochrane. Tyler Lee started the game and showed some promising signs. Getting hits for the Taylor boys were B.J. Schaump and Stuart" Cochrane. Game two was a complete re- versal with the Taylor Ford boys coming out on top 7-4, with strong pitching from B.J. Schaump and great defence from everyone. B.J. Schaump allowed 10 hits while striking out two, along with having Bra- malea hit 10 popouts. Again this game, Justin Shinn was sparkling at short- stop, Justin Vandergaast made two good catches in left field, Stuart Cochrane at first, Darryl Copithorn catching and Terry Daly at third. The Taylor Ford boys did most of the damage in the second inning scoring six runs on some wild pitching from 7-8 Mites Monday night 7-8 Mites ac- tion produced an exciting game between VanCamp and Green- bank Variety. The VanCamp team continues to improve and in this game strong hitting was a major factor in their eventual win. Josh Kendall, Patrick Dunn and Josiah Atkin supplied a lot of the outstanding hitting. Greenbank Variety played well offensively and defensive- y. Defensively Ryan Rahm and Andrea Campbell were having a great game while Kevin Han- sen had some awesome hits. Bramalea. Brad and Kent Johnston, both members of the Port Perry Tennis Club competed in the tournament. Brad, who was competing in the Under 14 division won the tournament after knocking off two seeded players on his way to victory.
