Those wishing to obtain a permit should notify the fire administration office at 985-2384 at least 24 hours prior to the opposed burn in order that the permit may be processed for signature and pick-up by the permit holder. 3. Permits will not be issued to anyone living in a built up area in the Township of Scugog. 4. Permit holders must have a means of extinguishment on site, and ensure that the fire is supervised at all times. 5. Permits will only be issued for daytime burning. 6. Material to be burned shall be limited to wood or wood by-products only. 7. Contained fires (i.e. BARREL) and campfires for cooking do not require a permit, but are subject to schedule "A" of the burning by-law. 8.
