Weeks maybe months later, a small re- traction appears within a mass of articles and is often over- looked. But the damage is done. The accusation is remembered. This can be particularly hurtful to a person and their family who happen to live in a small com- munity where most people know one another. As a result of that brief cam- paign, more than $5,500 was collected - no small feat!
