Rev. David Shearman was in the pulpit and the ser- vice opened with the Call to Worship, followed by the Ap- proach - a time of confession read in unison. The children en- Joyed their story told by the minister! Arthur Weir read Scripture passages on 2 Samuel I, 2 Corin- thians 8 and Mark 5. Rev. Shearman presented an excel- lent message of "Trust" - to have trust in your doctor, minister, etc. a confident reliance on the integrity of another - our trust in Jesus Christ is a pattern for our lives. Nestleton Presbyterian Church On Sunday, June 26, Rev. Wm. Fairley conducted the reg- ular service at 11 a.m. in the Nestleton Presbyterian Church. The organist was Joyce Taylor, and the ushers were Oliver Roh- rer and Sandra Sorley. Peggy Jones taught the Sunday school class. Responsive Psalm was 27 and Scripture readings were from II Samuel 1-17 and Mark 5. Holy Communion was dis- pensed by Rev. Wm. Fairley, as- sisted by elders Joyce Taylor and Dorothy Lee. In the sermon, Rev. Fairley spoke of "God's living presence is with us". As this was the last Sunday that services will be held until the third Sunday of September, it was most fitting to remind us that He 18 in our daily lives and always near. We'll be celebrating our 149th anniver- sary on third Sunday in Septem- ber. In appreciation for Rev. Wm. and Rita Fairley's dedication to their Nestleton congregation, and their leadership, Dorothy Lee presented them with a gift of money for a good holiday!
