The shortstop from their team robbed him twice. Ryan Hawkins was in fine form again as he hit a home run over the right fielder's head and a triple over the left fielder's head. It was one bounce to the fence both times. Ashton picked up a double and single, McQuade two singles and Froats a triple, with singles going to Scott, Mike and Derek. Final score 11- 3.and this put usin the B Cham- pionship game. This game was against New Dundee "A" team. This was probably the strongest pitching the boys had come up against in the tourney. Jon pitched the first four innings and gave up seven hits. Jon was pitching very hard and struck out four and gave up only two walk. A couple of triples with men on base in the second inning put us behind the eight ball. Chris pitched the last inning in relief and gave up one hit while strik- ing out two. The boys picked up eight hits but they were not able . to get the hits close together to mount any kind of a scoring ral- ly as we lost the final 7-2. Mike led the bats for this one as he picked up a double and single, Jeff had a triple while Hawkins, McQuade and Scott Jeffrey each picked up two singles. The team is out of town for its next two league games. Next home game is Tuesday, July 5 3 £150 p.m. against Richmond ill.
