Putting a Casino on Scugog Island is like putting a dump at Young and Bloor. I cannot think of anything more damaging to the lifestyle of Island residents or the town- ship as a whole other than if the lake dried up. This is not the normal Mr. Al- dred vs Mr. Edgar fued! This is something that could change the community forever. I plan to support Mr. Aldred in this cause - 100 per cent - both finan- cially and with my time. I plan to write government officials at all levels, although my faith in government has been severely shaken. I encourage other con- cerned citizens of Scugog to do the same. I also hope that the Port Perry Star puts this story where it belongs - on the front page! James Edmiston, Port Perry, Ont. Robert J.
