Letter to the editor Destructive kids shouldnt be rewarded To the Editor: It is with some interest that I have followed recent letters to your newspaper almost sup- . porting a group of young people who, with nothing else in their vacant minds on Halloween, vandalized several stores in. Port Perry causing distress and personal expense to respected businessmen whose personal entrepreneurial talents have improved facilities in this town. One mother suggests that the Town Council, or the Regional Government or some other in- stitution develop a drop-in cen- tre to occupy these puerile minds and protect us innocent taxpayers from their unrespon- sible actions. Why doesn't this mother buy tickets to come and see the up- coming Millar Light's produc- tion of the "Wizard of Oz" and perhaps see what other kids do constructively with their time, rather than in the destructive nonsense we have experienced.
