The Power Saver* Heat Pump Program The Power Saver* Heat Pump Program has been devel- oped for qualifying homeowners who have decided to install a heat pump. If you want to save energy and enjoy low cost warmth in winter with energy efficient air conditioning and dehumidification in summer, this program offers attractive incentives including reduced rates through Ontario Hydro's Power Saver Loan Plan and/or cash rebates. What Kind Of Home Qualifies? A ground source heat pump must be installed by a dealer holding a current installer ac- creditation issued by a recog- nized industry certifying body, such as the Canadian Earth En- ergy Association (CEEA) and it must be installed in accordance with Canadian Standards Asso- ciation (CSA) Standard C4456 and industry standards, as de- fined by the certifying body and in conformance with all applica- ble laws. Air source and bivalent heat pump products must be in- stalled by a dealer qualified by the authorized supplier of the equipment and must be listed as qualified by Ontario Hydro. The heat pump must also be in- stalled in unrestricted mode to -20 degrees celsius or lower, all in accordance with the specifi- cations as given in the Dealer Program Guide. Step 3: Complete the Incentive Application Before you purchase your heat pump, complete the Incen- tive Application including the agreement with your dealer and mail all five original copies (photocopies not acceptable) to your local Ontario Hydro office. be verified when a copy of your application is returned to you with Box No. 10 signed by your local Ontario Hydro office.
