"A Family Tradition for 127 Years" Em -- Seagrave News _ by Kim Blakle May is my favourite month of the year. All things become new again except I wouldn't mind if the grass didn't become new again. There is lots of news to write about this month between the baseball starting up and all the spring events out and around town. The Reflections ladies gath- ered excitedly this morning at Emmanuel for their annual house tour. They didn't know what houses they would be touring until they got there this morning. We went to Theresa's home on the island, Linda's home in Seagrave, Ruth's home in Port Perry and Adeline's home in Manchester. We sure made the rounds. Next week Jan Beesley is speaking and we're all excited about seeing her again. Won't you come out too, next Tuesday morning at 9:30. The cost is only $4. and its the grand finale of the year un- til Reflections starts up again in the fall. We've averaged 65 la- dies all year and we hope every- one enjoyed their Tuesday mornings out. Spring sing! At Emmanuel Pentecostal Church this Satur- day, May 8 at 7:30 p.m. there are going to be seven local Church Choirs performing a concert. The admission is a do- nation of a non-perishable food item. Come on out and meet your neighbours, enjoy some beautiful music, join'in a sing-a -long and enjoy some refresh- ments. Happy Birthday wishes to Ju- lie Egan, Karen Szewerda, Ryan Szewerda, Trevor Szewer- da, (This is a busy month for Karl!), Margaret Ingram, Mat- thew Somerville, John Vernon, Roy Puckrin and Dana Lave- reau. A very happy Sweet Six- teenth Birthday to Deanna Dempsey! A belated happy birthday to Muriel Berry. Attention Seagrave Brown- ies: Calling all ladies over the age of 17. Are you interested in working with girls ages 6 to 8 or 9 to 12? Your help is needed to work with Brownies or Guides. No previous experience neces- sary, just a love to work with children. These two units that meet in Seagrave will not re- open in September unless we can find leaders. Any questions, call Linda 985-1145. Kimberly Fabiano attended a pre-camp to prepare herself for an International Camp this July. Approximately 3,000 girls and leaders will be attending Guelph '93. This is a wonderful opportunity for Girl Guides to share and learn about other countries. Congratulations to Lee Bea- cock who graduated on Satur- day from Sir Sandord Fleming College in Lindsay in Natural Resources/Law. Best Wishes for the future Lee! The Robinglade Women's Group enjoyed seeing "Oliver" by the Millar Lights last week. Everyone enjoyed themselves, this was a great idea, thanks again Tracy.
