What makes Cullen Gardens so exciting for everyone during the Christmas season is the seemingly endless miniature delights found amidst 100,000 sparkling lights. Miniature homes, churches, schools and businesses line the garden pathways. On the Main Street of the village is a minia- ture Santa Claus parade, com- plete with 20 animated floats. Other delights during the Festival of Lights include a tra- ditional full-size Nativity scene and a Huron Indian Nativity scene. Both are located in the valley. A new addition to the festival is a giant old-fashion locomotive light sculpture which can be found in Cottage Country. Santa Claus will be at Cullen Gardens to visit the children from 6-9 p.m. on weekdays and 4-8 p.m. on weekends. The whole family will enjoy the Cullen Gardens Christmas show, featuring live entertain- ment, every evening at 5:30, 7 and 8 p.m. in the Tea Room. Other special events this Christmas season include breakfast with Santa Claus on December 5, 12, and 19, a 19th century Christmas card work- shop on December 12-13, and the annual winter carnival De- cember 27 through January 3. Admission to the gardens and village is $8.60 for adults, $6.95 for seniors and students, $3.95 for children 4-12 years old, and free for children three and un- der.
