Clinton. According to "Who's Who in America, " Clinton was born in Hope, Arkansas on Aug. 19, 1946. Educated in the U.S. and England, he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Yale Uni- versity in 1973. This degree en- abled him to "operate prudently on the jury" of his peers -- the American public. He became professor of law at the Universi- ty of Arkansas (1973-76), Attor- ney General of Arkansas (1977- 79), Governor of Arkansas (1979--). All these positions de- mand talk, talk, talk -- did he ever learn which end of a shovel goes into the ground? We have a great deal of sym- pathy for the people in proximi- ty to the short listed sites. We understand fully the impact of this process on their lives. Zero Garbage and PEST will continue to pressure all levels of government to pursue true al- ternatives to landfills such as de-production, product ste- wardship, composting and the three Rs. We still have members on the Regional Consultation Network and the Participant Funding Technical Committee to moni- tor the IWA process. The IWA has the mandate to re-examine the Scugog sites if the short list- ed sites are found to be techni- cally unacceptable. We will hold our funds in trust until a site is up and running. We have sched- uled a joint Zero Garbage, PEST and Green Ura meeting for Feb. 27, 1993 to re- view the process.
