Scugog Township residents have until tonight (Tuesday) at 8 p.m. to register their partici- pation in the Canada 125 Flag Competition. : Then the Blackstock Lions Club and Scugog Township's Canada 125 committee will tal- ly up the results to see which ward is the most patriotic. As of Friday afternoon, par- ticipation in the contest was de- scribed as pathetic by Ward 3 councillor and member of the Canada 125 committee Ken Gadsden. Although the race is close -- Ward 4 is .03 per cent ahead of Ward 2 -- the percentage of resi- dents participating is under two per cent in each ward, he said. (Please see graph.) The winning ward will be an- nounced on July 1 during the Canada Day festivities at Palm- er Park.
