Erin Broome of S.A. Cawker was the 10-year-old girls champion, while Jason Logan of Cartwright won in the 13-year-old boys division and Pat Smith of R.H. Cornish won in the 14-year-old boys class. The three District Champions then competed in the Regional Com- petition held in Scarborough the following week. Pat Smith of R.H. Cornish distinguished himself with a third-place bronze medal in the 14-year-old boys division. In the 13-year-old boys competition. Jason N Logan of Cartwright was crowned as Champion of Durham Region, with a magnificient shooting perfor- mance completing 21 of 25 free throw shots. The Knights of Columbus local 8951 Port Perry would like to con- gratulate the three winners as well as the other seven local champions from Port Perry who were crown- ed in January.
