It's 14-year old Edward Mah practicing for his competitions. Edward decided to drop piano and drum lessons three years ago to take up the pipes. This past weekend, at a Highland Games competition in Embro, ON, he was on the Durham Regional Police Pipe and Drum band that finished 2nd of 16 bands in a level 5 competition of North American bands. Level 5 is the entry level. He's also competed at the Cambridge and Maxville Highland Games. Edward, a student at Donald A.Wilson Secondary School, spends about 40 hours weekly in lessons and practicing. Bagpipes
